After touring Darwin and New Zealand this year Mirrabooka are taking a break from recording their third album to perform at the fabulous Halekulani along with Ukulele Russ from Alaska.
These two amazing acts are diverse and yet very funny and entertaining.
You’ll be amazed at how this tiny instrument will change your world.
Mirrabooka and Ukulele Russ are heading to the Halekulani to shake up the night with ukulele madness like you have never seen for a huge night of toe tapping ukulele madness of nylon strings exploding.
Mirrabooka Members are:
Liz Kitney: Vocals, Tenor ukulele, vocals, acoustic Guitar, mandolin, Liz strums to create a unique sound that sits perfectly with Robs Drums and Glenn’s fast moving bass riffs.
Rosie Ewing, Vocals, Concert ukulele, flute, melodica, vocals. Rosie will blow you away with her amazing riffs on her flute and the unique sound of the Melodica will mesmerise you.
Rob Kitney: Vocals, Professional drummer and percussionist, Plays tenor ukulele, , Rob’s technical prowess on sound is amazing and he is the maestro on drums, and djembe along with his crooning style vocals. He drives the beat and keeps the groove
Glenn Ewing: The Beast with the bass, Vocals, tenor ukulele, guitar and mandolin. Don’t be fooled by his quiet nature he is a cool dude and you’ll groove to his cool bass grooves and vocals.

Hiya from Mirrabooka!

We’ve had a busy start to the year and a successful trip to New Zealand. Thanks Opotiki for your amazing hospitality and great gigs!

A gig update will be posted soon … in the meantime we are busy with our next album! Writing some new tunes that we think you’ll enjoy! All sounding and looking good. A little taste will come at the Tallies, Ourimbah Feb 24th, The Hali Bowling Club March 23th and Tallies, Ourimbah March 31st

Mirrabooka will be Ross M Fear’s studio guest on Alive 90.5 fm Australian Spectrum Show 9pm Tuesday 8 January 2019 talking about their ukulele ensemble and album “River of Dreams”.

Mirrabooka, from the Central Coast NSW, is a group of musicians performing with ukuleles and various other instruments. They have been popular at a number of Ukulele and Folk Festivals at Hawaii, Darwin, Cairns, New Zealand, Tasmania, Brackets and Jam, Central Coast Ukulele Festival, Blue Mountains, and Newcastle just to name a few. While performing and touring they wrote their second album of original songs – The album, “River of Dreams”. You’ll be inspired and captivated by the beautiful vocals and harmonies, the rhythmic songs and melodies of their originals songs and dance to their catchy covers.
